About Time Cane Corso Sales Policies

Placing the puppies we raise in their new homes is a responsibility we take very seriously. All our puppies are sold on a written Contract and Guarantee. Companion puppies are sold on a sterilization agreement. Companion puppies from About Time Cane Corso are NOT the undesirable pups from a litter. They are simply pups who will be spayed/neutered and not used for breeding. They are quite often show quality, and are sold with the same Health, Hip, and Temperament Guarantee.

If you are interested in one of our puppies, please read this Sales Policies page (below),
review our Purchase Process page, and take a minute to complete our
Puppy Application. We will contact you promptly.

About Time Cane Corso Puppies! Fawn Cane Corso, Black Cane Corso, Brindle Cane Corso, Black Brindle Cane Corso, Blue Cane Corso, Grey Cane Corso

Reputation is Everything to us. The quality and health of the dogs we breed speak for themselves, and our Accomplishments and Client Testimonials speak louder than anything we could ever say. When it comes to breeding a sound and healthy corso, and standing behind every dog we produce, we make no compromises. Many breeders simply claim their dogs are 'guaranteed' ... and they count on the fact that many buyers won't bother to do their research to find out their 'guarantee' is not worth the paper it is written on. Don't Be Fooled! We will willingly provide you with details and information on our full written guarantee for health, hips, temperament, and type. We have nothing to hide, and we're proud of it!

If you're looking for a cheap pup, look elsewhere. Just keep in mind the difference between "Price" and "Cost". You can find a corso pup for a cheap price. The question to ask yourself NOW, is if saving a couple hundred dollars on the Price is worth the Cost. Is it worth the Cost of thousands of dollars in vet bills when your corso develops hip dysplasia? Is it worth the Cost of watching your family's companion suffer because he was carelessly bred by someone out to "make a buck"? Is it worth the Cost of your children's tears when their beloved pet has to be put down at a young age because he can't stand/walk anymore? PLEASE, before you compromise and purchase that cheaper pup for a lesser Price, ask yourself if it will really be worth the Cost in the end.

If you are looking for a healthy affordable quality dog, you're in the right place. Our Cane Corso pups are sold on a Contract, with a Full Health Guarantee. Our primary concern is the care of our pups. Our contract is designed with the dog in mind, also to protect both buyer and seller. In the event of a health problem with your About Time Corso, our contract DOES NOT require you to return your loved pet to receive a refund/replacement.
(Beware of any contracts that do require the dog's return, as a number of breeders will use this as a detriment to keep from actually having to replace the dog / refund your money.)

About Time Cane Corso Contract & Guarantee

Every About Time Cane Corso is sold on a Contract, with a Full Health & Temperament Guarantee. While our contract is designed with the dog in mind, to protect both buyer and seller, our primary concern is the well-being of our pups. We breed for HEALTHY dogs, we STAND BEHIND our puppies, and our contract guarantees you just that.

Our Guarantee/Contract covers the following:

  • I. General:
Buyer agrees to maintain dog in good health and provide proper care.
  • II. Terms of Ownership:
Breeder reserves "Right of First Refusal" if an About Time Cane Corso is unable to be kept by its new home. Breeder Guarantees a "Home for Life" for EVERY Corso we breed. An About Time dog will never be surrendered to a pound or shelter.
  • III. Temperament Guarantee:
We do guarantee temperament on an About Time Cane Corso. We breed for a sound stable temperament, and back our breeding up in writing.
  • IV. Health Guarantee:
Our complete health guarantee covers health issues, hereditary or genetic disorders, and more, in writing.
  • V. Hip Dysplasia Guarantee:
Hip Dysplasia is covered under our guarantee - to be evaluated at/by 26 months of age.
  • VI. Replacement/Refund Terms for Health/Temperament Guarantee:
In the event of a health problem with your About Time Corso, you are offered options for a replacement or a refund. However, our contract DOES NOT require you to return your loved pet to receive a refund/replacement. (Beware of any contracts that do require the dog's return, as a number of breeders will use this as a detriment to keep from actually having to replace the dog / refund your money.)
  • VII. Type Guarantee: *For dogs purchased on a Show Agreement
About Time Corsos sold as Show Quality are guaranteed against developing any disqualifying faults as described in the FCI Cane Corso breed standard within 26 months, or being diagnosed with any genetically derived medical disorder causing the dog to be unable to be shown or ethically bred,
  • VIII. Breeding Terms:
    No Cross-breeding allowed. No pet-store / puppy-mill breeding.
  • IX. Additional Terms:
Every About Time Corso will be permanently identified by Microchip. (This is to ensure Breeder will be notified if an About Time Corso is ever surrendered to a Pound/Shelter/Rescue, etc.)
  • Addendum:
Every About Time Corso contract includes a right of possession addendum that allows us to protect each puppy with the right to remove it from any Pound/Shelter/Rescue, etc where it may end up if owner is unwilling or unable to do so. (This is to ensure Breeder can take responsibility for an About Time Corso if it is ever surrendered or ends up in a Pound/Shelter/Rescue, etc., without fear of being refused access to the dog or being told that it is deemed a dangerous breed and will be put down).

Please contact us to request a full copy of our contract/guarantee for review if desired.

While many breeders will *tell* you that their pups are "healthy and guaranteed" any "guarantee" is ONLY as good as what you get in writing. An About Time Guarantee (and our pages of client testimonials) will provide you with peace of mind knowing that we fully stand behind every puppy we sell.

* The Purchaser has read and fully understands the terms of our Contract/Guarantee and agrees to comply with them. Buyer, by sending deposit/payment and purchasing an About Time Cane Corso, agrees in full to the terms of our Contract/Guarantee & Purchase Agreement, and agrees to provide Breeder with a signed copy of said agreement.

About Time Cane Corso Prices

High Standards produce Quality Corsos. We have been asked why our prices are high. We would rather explain to you now why our price is high, than explain to you later why our quality was poor. We would rather explain to you now why we breed so selectively, than explain to you later why your loved family companion is sick. Quite often, you do "get what you pay for". We care about providing you with the Best Quality possible.

Puppy sales only cover a small part of the total expenses involved in running a quality breeding program, and we are happy to explain in detail why our puppies are worth every penny of our prices. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in any of our dogs. We do make payment arrangements for approved homes for those who are committed to obtaining a quality Cane Corso, and the committed serious buyer will find us very reasonable and easy to work with.

The price for an About Time Cane Corso pup will be $2,250.
*Placed on a Companion (spay/neuter) Contract/Guarantee.

The price for a Show or Working Prospect pup will start at $3,000.
Placed on a Show/Work/Breed Contract/Guarantee.

These prices include the following with your About Time Cane Corso:

  • Puppy Pedigree and Photos.
  • Dewclaw Removal.

  • ($25) AKC Registration (saving you the time and paperwork to register your new puppy, we complete all paperwork for a simple hassle-free registration experience for you). We will take care of the registration for you, your new puppy will be fully registered to your name, and AKC Registration Papers (not a puppy registration application) will be mailed directly to you.

All About Time Cane Corso puppies will have their tails docked and dewclaws removed at three days old. Ear Crops on companion pups will be left to buyer's preference for pups purchased before 8 weeks of age. (After 8 weeks of age unsold pups will be cropped by breeder). Ears will be cropped on all Show/Working pick pups (buyer's choice of our vet here, or your vet when pup goes home) for better success in the rings in the US.
If a good vet familiar with Corso crops is not available in your area, we can take a limited number of pups from our litters in to be cropped here before they go home. The vet we use is very good and does excellent work. (We make a 16 hour round trip drive - past many closer vets - as he has been doing show crops on Cane Corsos for over 20 years and does exceptional crops). The cost for a crop done here by our vet before a puppy goes home will be $425. Full Details on Ear Cropping HERE.

* Companion puppies are sold on a sterilization agreement and will require proof of spay/neuter. Companion puppies from About Time Cane Corso are NOT the undesirable pups from a litter. They are simply pups who will not be used for breeding. They are quite often show quality, and are sold with the same Health, Hip, and Temperament Guarantee.

We do sometimes accept payment plans for approved homes. Please ask for details.

A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve one of our puppies, the deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price. Balance will be due at 6 weeks of age, when the puppy is chosen. If for some reason the Buyer changes his/her mind on the puppy, they forfeit their deposit. If something should happen to the puppy, it is not available for health reasons, or the breeding should not produce the desired puppy, the deposit/monies paid will be transferred/applied to another pup or a later litter. No monies paid toward puppies will be refunded. Color preference is considered, but color is not guaranteed. The Buyer has read and fully understands the purchase terms as provided and agrees to comply with them. Buyer, by making deposit/payment, agrees in full to this agreement.

Advance Reservation Information
Reserving a Cane Corso Pup from an Upcoming Litter

Advance Reservations are accepted on a limited basis for each litter. Pups may be chosen at 6 weeks of age in the order reservation deposits were placed. Remaining pups will be made available on a first-come-first-serve basis to approved homes.

Advance Reservation Deposits are accepted on a very limited basis to reserve a pup from an upcoming litter. Advance Reservations are limited to three males & three females per litter (with the exclusion of pups retained by breeder). The remaining pups will then be made available to approved applicants. Preference for pick pups will be given to potential show homes. Pups may be chosen at 6 weeks of age, in the order reservation picks were reserved, before the remaining pups are made available to other buyers. If the litter should not offer the sex of puppy reserved, buyer may choose to apply the deposit to another pup from litter, apply the deposit toward another currently available pup, or toward a future litter.

When the litter is 6 weeks of age, buyers will be provided with numerous photos of each puppy, puppy evaluation results, personality/temperament information, and breeder's recommendation based on best potential matches for both the puppy and family. Two days will be allowed to chose reservation pick before remaining pups are made available to next buyer. Although every effort will be made to match you with a pup of your color preference, we do not guarantee color. Temperament, drive, and making sure your new pup is a good match for your family is the most important thing to ensure a happy partnership for your new pup's life with your family. An earlier reservation will result in a higher chance of having a suitable pup in your color preference available.

A deposit in the amount of $500 is required to confirm an Advance Reservation on an About Time Cane Corso Puppy from Laura & Richard of About Time Cane Corso. The deposit will be applied towards total purchase price. An advance reservation does not cost you anything extra, it is simply a reservation in advance to guarantee you a pick puppy from a coming litter. Balance will be due at 6 weeks, when pup is chosen.

Deposit Information

A Deposit of $500 is required to Reserve an About Time Cane Corso puppy. The deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price.

A deposit in the amount of $500 is required to Reserve an About Time Cane Corso Puppy from Laura & Richard of About Time Cane Corso. The deposit will be applied towards total purchase price. Balance will be due when the chosen puppy reaches 6 weeks of age.

We do reserve the right to refuse deposit/payment if we feel our puppy would not have a good home. Your deposit reserves a puppy for you, however, it does not guarantee that we will sell you one if we feel the temperament is not a good match for your family. If we feel a pup would not be well placed with you, your deposit will be refunded in full.

The deposit is a promise to buy a puppy. If for some reason the Buyer changes his/her mind on a puppy, they forfeit their deposit. If something should happen to the puppy, it is not available for health reasons, or the breeding should not produce the desired puppy, the deposit/monies paid will be transferred/applied to another pup or a later litter. Shipping an About Time Cane Corso

Shipping is available after your pup reaches 8 weeks of age if you are unable to personally pick up your new puppy. While you are welcome to come visit in person, we realize a trip to New Mexico is not feasible for everyone. We select the airline we ship on with the safety of the puppies in mind, and the care they will receive in route. We have never had a problem with the safety of our shipped puppies. We ship puppies across the US and export Worldwide.

Shipping a puppy is a very simple process!
We make sure your new pup is crate trained and accustomed to traveling (so the trip is nothing new and not stressful). We call the airlines and make a flight reservation, and arrange for required health certificate and crate. We take puppy to airport and check in at required time. A short time later you pick up your new puppy at your airport.

We will ship our puppies & dogs, from Albuquerque International Sunport Airport, to anywhere within the US or Canada. We can also export and ship pups worldwide, but special provisions have to be made when shipping overseas depending upon the destination and import/export requirements. We select the airline we ship on with the safety of the puppies in mind, and the care they will receive in route. We have never had a problem with the safety of our puppies.

Your new puppy will be shipped to you thru Continental's "Pet Safe", or Delta's "Pets First" program. The puppies are kept in a climate-controlled and pressure-controlled pet area of the plane - much like the passenger cabin for humans. Continental has been absolutely wonderful - in the years we have been shipping I have never been anything but thrilled with their service and care.

When we prepare to ship your puppy, we make all flight reservations, book the puppy all the way thru to the final destination, and confirm all plane changes in advance. We have to be sure that the weather is OK, and that the pups won't get too hot or cold. We take care of all the flight and paperwork arrangements, and all you have to do is show up at your airport that afternoon/evening with photo identification to pick up your new puppy.

Your total shipping expense will generally be around $375.*

  • $280 freight, fuel taxes & insurance charges
  • $45 for shipping certificate
  • $50 for shipping kennel
Kennel is a quality airline approved crate that your pup will be familiarized with before travel, and is yours to keep after your pup arrives.

(*Shipping quote for an 8-9 week old Cane Corso puppy shipped anywhere within the continental United States)
For an older or larger puppy, the kennel and shipping cost will increase based on size and weight.
If the puppy is older than 12 weeks, there is an additional $20 charge for a rabies vaccination - required to ship.

We provide: A written health guarantee, plenty of shredded paper bedding for the trip, food/water dishes, a chew treat/toy to keep your pup entertained while traveling, and a high-calorie vitamin booster before the trip. Food is provided in the crate. To be sure the pup's sugar levels don't drop, karo syrup is added to their water and frozen (to prevent spilling) in their dish as well.

Worldwide International Export & Canadian Shipping:

  • We ship to Canada. Shipping is available to Canada for a minimal additional charge, contact us with your location for details.

  • We export Internationally and have experience sending many dogs overseas. We have exported puppies worldwide to many countries including Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Hong Kong, and more.
For International shipping and transport, contact us for requirements and a quote.

We are frequently asked:

"Will the airline fly pets into my closest airport?"
Since 9/11, most airlines have downsized the airplanes flying into various areas of the country. This has limited the number of cities we can ship to, as only the larger planes are equipped with the climate and pressure controlled pet area of the plane. Continental or Delta will ship into most large major airports, but depending on where you live you may have to drive to pick your new puppy up. When we make your reservation we will work to ship to the major airport nearest you for your convenience.

"I was told shipping will be a bad/harmful/negative experience for my puppy, is this true?"
When the proper care is taken, shipping is not a stressful experience for a pup. We do not simply stuff your pup in a crate, dump it on a plane, and hope it arrives fine. Each puppy is accustomed to being crated. The pup is first taught that the crate is its "den", a safe and comfortable place. Once accustomed to being crated, the pups are taken on trips with us to become accustomed to traveling. By the time we take them to the airport for their trip out to you, it is nothing they haven't experienced already, and is not stressful at all.
When I first purchased a dog from out-of-state I was given the impression that shipping was a cruel thing to do and a bad experience for my pups. I decided to have my new puppies transported across the states (FL to NM) by a horse hauler who carried them in the cab of his truck. After three long days of bouncing around in a crate in an unfamiliar situation traveling with strangers, I received two very tired, very stressed pups. It took weeks for them to settle down and gain back the weight they lost due to stress. The next pup I purchased was shipped in, and a couple hours after she was dropped off in FL, I picked her up at the airport here. She was a bit unsure about her new surroundings for about 5 minutes, then settled right in! We have shipped many pups since then with no problems, allowing us to send our puppies worldwide, and to have unlimited selection to import and bring in the best foundation dogs for our breeding program that we can find - regardless of distance.

Boarding:
If you purchase a dog/puppy but are not ready to have it sent home by its available date (unless the delay is by our decision or joint agreement) your Cane Corso will be boarded here unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Our Boarding terms are as follows:

Cane Corsos are boarded at the rate of $12.00/day for puppies (under 12 months), and $15.00/day for adults.
Board will include feed, socialization, play-time, bathing, vaccinations, worming, nail trims, routine vet visits, general care, and more as needed. Buyer will be responsible for major veterinary expenses incurred while dog is being boarded. Specific additional training (leash training, basic obedience, etc) is available on request for an additional fee.

A Home for Life. Every About Time Cane Corso that we breed is guaranteed a home for life with us if needed. We believe that if we bring a dog into this world, we have the responsibility to make sure that dog always has a loving home and does not end up unwanted, abandoned, and spending its last days alone in a shelter run. The biggest and most important commitment a breeder can make is to take responsibility for the lives they produce. We Do.
