Tristan is available for sale to the right home.
He will be placed as a compaion or working dog, not for breeding.
He has the drive and potential to be an excellent working dog, or would make a wonderful companion for an active family.

His conformation and head are awesome, and his well balanced temperament and manners are simply incredible!
Tristan
Black Brindle Import Male, 110 lbs, 26"
OFA Hip Prelims "Good" (at 19 months)
FCI Registered, 2 years old
Tristan is a wonderful example of the Cane Corso breed. He has ideal conformation to the Italian Standard, and a massive but well-proportioned head. His temperament is incredible. At the pet-store he'll patiently wait while children hug him and hang off his legs, adults are accepted in stride, and at the dog park he has a blast playing with other dogs. His worst vice is thinking he is a lap dog and promptly seating himself in any lap that happens to be available! Tristan is a very high drive Cane Corso. Always energetic and playful, Tris is the one usually initiating playtime with the other dogs, but at the same time he is sweet and gentle with "his" people. Until he has been introduced to someone though, he takes his job of guarding and protecting his "family" quite seriously!
He is two years old, an import from Germany, bred from original working lines from the south, and is an awesome and incredible dog. He has great structure and conformation, high prey and defense drive, but a very stable and balanced temperament. He is perfect with strangers when introduced, wonderful with kids, but will immediately step in front of me and be on the alert should a stranger approach in a threatening manner. Tristan is very alert and inquisitive, outgoing and friendly, and very energetic. He would be ideal for a working home, with a job to do. He would also do well as a family dog with room to run and play. He would never be happy as a quiet couch potato. He is very devoted, and LIVES to know he has pleased you. He is healthy and well, OFA prelims on his hips at 19 months are "good", he has been shown successfully in conformation classes (earning a rating of "Excellent" from 4 of 5 judges), and he is everything we wanted to find in an ideal male. However, we recently found he has a defect that will not allow him to be bred. Simply put, he has a "kink in the pipes" from either a genetic cause, or an injury prior to us receiving him, that will not allow the semen to leave his body when he breeds ... instead it backs up into his bladder. The ONLY thing wrong with this boy is that he can/should not be bred. It will not affect his health in any way.
Tristan is a wonderful dog, very people oriented, and very eager to please. Nothing makes him happier than knowing he has made you happy and being praised. He has never met a stranger he has a problem with, and does great with adults and kids alike every time we take him out. He loves car rides and road trips, and is perfectly well mannered gentleman in the car. He has never offered to damage anything in our home, and is not destructive, and is housetrained. He does great with all our other dogs (except for Amon - our other unaltered adult alpha male), great with the IGs (toy breed dogs) as well. He is fine with the birds in their cages inside (though I wouldn't quite trust him to control his instinctive response with the birds loose to potentially fly). He knows not to chase our cats (and they know better than to run), but he watches them very intently. We have never had an issue with him and the cats, but I would not totally trust him 100% with new cats until he was carefully introduced and supervised. A firm verbal correction will be all he needs to realize he is out of line. The thing to know about Tris is he is a high drive energetic dog. He wants to go, and play, and burn off energy. When he first gets up in the morning, I have learned not to expect him to be totally focused on me until he has had his 10 minutes outside to burn off some energy. After, he will be very responsive. Before, he wants to please but he wants to play so you get a bouncy response from him - like a child that is just too wound up to sit still though he wants to obey. He knows sit and down, he knows how to walk on a leash, he has been shown and knows how to gait and stack and stand. He knows "wait" for those moments when you are opening a kennel or crate door, till you tell him "ok". He will sit and wait at the door for your "ok" to get up and go out. Same with the car getting in or out. He loves car rides! With firm consistent guidance Tristan is very well behaved. With a soft person who could not stand up to him he would take an inch and a few more and have his way.
He does not get along with Amon at all - however he is being introduced on what he considers HIS home turf. He has never started a fight. When on leash if approached by another dog he will take ques from you. I have stacked and stood him in the middle of the dog park with alpha male dogs throwing their heads over his neck - he was not happy about it, but minded me well. Loose, he does great with outside females, and most males. He will not start a fight, but he will not back down from another unaltered male that approaches in an alpha manner. I would not trust him loose at a dog park with unknown males around just for that reason. On lead you can walk him thru / past any dogs and he will be totally respectful of you.
